I’ve set goals and I’ve reached them!

After decades of working for someone else, I started my own company.  In four short years I’ve been awarded Top 50 among my colleagues. I’ve been honored to be on a industry magazine cover and named one of the women leaders in the world for my field.  I can pay my bills, employ amazing individuals and have some money set aside for my sons.

I’ve even started a women’s empowerment group on social media because I saw a need for women who may not have a tribe of women around them, to have someone to turn to.

Sooooooo, NOW WHAT.

The books and webinars all give people enlightenment on how to reach your goals.  There are routines to follow, books you need to read, plans to follow, etc etc but no one really addresses success.  It’s like “SUCCESS” is a dirty little word.

I can tell you I’ve experienced guilt and uncertainty very recently.  I’ve never believed in myself. I still don’t, but I know I’m damn good at my profession and I treat my clients like family but the success is foreign to me.

So I’m hoping that everyone who reads this can chime in and let’s start to discuss how you treat your accomplishments by posting comments to this post.  Women are ready to rule the world, let’s empower each other to achieve greatness.

Diane, honestly it is hard sometimes to “celebrate” success especially when you don’t always see it. Though I do these days try to buy something I wouldn’t normally but again it is hard not to worry and say it is a “splurge” and I may need that money in the future for something else. I am getting better though and know I have come a long way and had a lot of success.
